What
is Crizal?
Crizal is a lens that is crystal clear,
anti-reflective, easy to clean, durable
and gives maximum comfort to the wearer.
Crizal is an international brand and one
of the largest and the best selling Anti-Reflective
lens in the world. Crizal lenses allow
more than 99% of light through, making
it so transparent, that the wearer can
see more detail, sharper images, and everything
more clearly.
How
do I identify Crizal lenses?
Crizal lenses will be dispensed with a
Crizal Certificate of Authenticity and
a Crizal cleaning cloth to ensure receipt
of genuine Crizal lenses. If you did not
receive both of these items, you should
discuss this with your eye care professional.
In addition to these items, all anti-reflective
lenses possess slight reflectant color
qualities which assist in identifying
the brand. The reflective hue color for
Crizal is a green-yellowish hue. To see
this reflective color, take the eyeglasses
off and hold them at an angle under a
light such that a reflection will appear
on the lenses
Does
Crizal help reduce the glare from computer
screens?
Yes. Crizal lenses let up to 99% of visible
light through the lens –unlike regular
lenses, that can reflect up to 20% of
light and create reflections.
The light originating from your computer
screen will produce significant reflection
and glare off the surface of your lenses,
and Crizal lenses will virtually eliminate
these reflections and will reduce the
glare and thus reduce eye strain
How
do I clean my Crizal lenses?
The best way to clean your lenses is by
first rinsing your lenses under warm,
running water to remove any sandy/gritty
debris that could be dragged across the
surface of the lenses during cleaning
and potentially scratch your lenses. Clean
with a mild liquid detergent to remove
facials oils, which if not removed, can
smear across the lenses. Rinse with water.
Then dry with a soft cotton cloth. Finish
by polishing your lenses with the Crizal
cleaning cloth provided to you. You can
also use the Crizal cloth for “touch
up” cleaning throughout the day
when it is not convenient to wash the
lenses.
Following the above cleaning method, the
lenses should be easy to clean and maintain.
Can
I use a lens cleaner spray to clean my
Crizal lens?
Please do not use any chemical lens cleaning
spray unless it is from Essilor. Water
and wiping with the Crizal cleaning cloth
is usually enough
Can
I store my spectacles in the car?
It is not advisable to store spectacle
in your automobile (e.g., leaving them
on the dashboard of your car), especially
in the warmer climates. It is potentially
damaging to the lenses and to the frame.
